Baby Shower

Had my baby shower yesterday - I was sooooooooooooo spoilt by the girls it was lovely!

Mini Maher probably now has enough stuff for 3 babies but it's all good - they'll be the best dressed baby in West London!

NCT and general stuff

We had our first NCT class this weekend. There are 6 other couples and they are all lovely and I can definitely see Mini Maher and me spending a lot of time with them drinking coffee! Our due dates are all within a 3 week period and a couple are due the same day as us so our babies will all be really similar in age.

Generally I'm feeling great and positive about the birth - I just can't wait to meet Mini Maher! I've had some pelvis pain which I'm praying doesn't develop into SPD but I'm sure it'll be fine. In the last week I've not been sleeping so well but again it's ok and it's not bothering me too much.

The great news is I only have 4 more weeks left at work - that's only 20 working days whoop whoop!!

Pram!!

All the many many bits of the pram have arrived including the car seat - I'm so chuffed with our choice - it's really unusual and I think will be perfect for either boy or girl. Now I need to decide on which changing bag will match (and whether it's a terrible thing to spend my Healthy Eating in Pregnancy grant on a bag!!)

Now we just have to put it together eeek!!

Sling!!!

Oh my god I am TOTALLY in love with our BabyHawk sling. It has a lovely pretty butterfly fabric side for me and a plain blue side so Tommy can be a babe magnet ;-)

All is good with Mini Maher!! He/she was being most uncooperative when the sonographer was trying to get a good pic and got so annoyed with the prodding decided to give us the finger - charming!!

Went to Truro for the weekend and discovered that Mini Maher LOVES cream teas - went mad when I ate one!

The government have said that preggers women should avoid public places and public transport - errrrr ok. I am ignoring this advice!

Slings

My other obsession this week is designing a sling for Mini Maher - help me choose a good pattern - winner so far is Oriental\Steely Butterflies with steely blue straps!

Hello!

Welcome to Mini Maher's blog. Am totally jumping on the bandwagon here but thought it would be a good way to record milestones and post lots of pictures of the little cutie once he/she appears.

So far pregnancy has been pretty uneventful and we're halfway through now yey! No morning sickness or terrible discomfort. Have started to feel some real flutters and kicks in the last couple of weeks - gearing up to be a QPR champion I think!
