The arrival of our boy

Ciarán Edward Maher was born on 7th December 2009 at 7.03am weighing 8lbs 1oz. He has a full head of hair and is just stunning.

Sorry peeps I've not updated this for MONTHS!! Ciarán is now 9 1/2 weeks old so I will be making an effort to update a bit more often!

He is absolutely thriving and just magic. He now weighs 12lb 4oz and is really really long - almost out of his 0-3 trousers already. He is smiling and 'chatting' loads and he loves his Daddy and any lights more than anything else!

Maternity Leave

Baby Shower

Had my baby shower yesterday - I was sooooooooooooo spoilt by the girls it was lovely!

Mini Maher probably now has enough stuff for 3 babies but it's all good - they'll be the best dressed baby in West London!

NCT and general stuff

We had our first NCT class this weekend. There are 6 other couples and they are all lovely and I can definitely see Mini Maher and me spending a lot of time with them drinking coffee! Our due dates are all within a 3 week period and a couple are due the same day as us so our babies will all be really similar in age.

Generally I'm feeling great and positive about the birth - I just can't wait to meet Mini Maher! I've had some pelvis pain which I'm praying doesn't develop into SPD but I'm sure it'll be fine. In the last week I've not been sleeping so well but again it's ok and it's not bothering me too much.

The great news is I only have 4 more weeks left at work - that's only 20 working days whoop whoop!!
